  • Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break. Don't forget to have your child practice math on tenmarks.com and typing. The links are above tabs.
  • A message from 2nd grade team "Due to the problems with the light rail, our next field trip to the San Jose Museum of Art/ Christmas in the Park on December 5th had to be cancelled. We will try to re-schedule the field trip to the San Jose Museum of Art in 2014. We encourage you to take your student to Christmas in the Park to see our beautiful 2nd grade Ruskin tree over the break. It will be like a scavenger hunt to find it, which will make it all the more fun."

Fall Harvest Potluck

The second grade classes will be having a harvest potluck on

Thursday, November 21.  It will begin at 11:30 and end about

12:30.  We will all be meeting in the multipurpose room and sharing a

meal together.

Parents, to make this a success we need your help.  We are asking

you to bring something to add to our feast.    The menu is open, and

we look forward to trying some dishes from other cultures.  We do,

however, have children who are allergic to nuts. Any food brought

should have the list of ingredients on it. Packaged food is great

because the ingredients are already there. The suggested amount

of servings is for 8, although you are welcome to bring in all you

want.  This will be our lunch.

We could use items such as main dishes, little appetizers, salads,

rolls, desserts, or anything else you would like to create or donate.  It

would be best to bring the food in a container that could be thrown

away or recycled.  If there are leftovers and you would like to take

your donation home, please label your container.  We will also need

volunteers to help serve and clean up.  Each teacher will make her own

arrangements about bringing  plates, utensils, and napkins for

her class.

Please complete the form below, detach, and return it with your

child.  We appreciate all you do for us and are looking forward to

November 21st.

I will be bringing __________________________for the Fall Harvest

Potluck.
